Over the last three weeks the students have built the bodies of the horses, thinking about what form and stance match the emotion they wish to portray.
We have every kind of horse from stallion to dressage pony and a wee filly. By the end of this Monday, most of the students were up to their necks in it! Very soon they’ll be starting the heads, the most expressive part of the sculpture – although some of those horses’ tails sure have attitude!
We’re also starting to think about what we’re going to do on the fund-raising night which is set for the middle of September. We’re hoping to have a potluck dinner at a lovely café venue, with an amazing guest speaker and silent auction. My original horse maquette will be up for auction too. Watch this space!!!
